Majestic Old Lion Apartments (sleeps up to 6)

The Majestic Old Lion in North Adelaide is our go-to place for accommodation when visiting Adelaide.

The self-contained apartment complex is in a great location, right next to the restaurant/cafe strip of Melbourne Street, with the city centre and Adelaide Zoo a very easy 15-20 minute walk away.

We always find the apartments to be comfortable and clean, with sufficient space for a family to relax after a day's sightseeing.

The room is serviced almost daily, and the staff is friendly and helpful. A cot and highchair were available for use, and the bathrooms have a bath.

Our three-bedroom apartment had 1 x king bed, 2 x singles and one bunk bed. There is plenty of wardrobe space and room to stow suitcases.

While there are no facilities specific for children, there is a fenced playground approx 100m down the road, as well as sports fields, where children can run off some steam or kick the footy.

There is a locked and gated carpark underneath the complex and it should be mentioned that if your apartment is located on the second level, you have to carry suitcases etc up flights of stairs as there are no lifts.

There is no major supermarket near the apartments, only a convenience store in Melbourne St. It did stock all the basics, just at inflated prices. Fortunately we had a car, so could travel to purchase our groceries.

The Majestic Old Lion is approx 1 hour's drive from the Barossa Valley region. The airport is about a 20-minute drive outside peak hour.
