Welcome to Family Friendly Accommodation and our blog, Family Holiday Planner.

So, who are we? Actually, it is just me. Amanda. But I am one person with a big goal - to become Australia's number one website for families wanting to find their perfect holiday accommodation.

But why, you ask. Because although I love researching holiday accommodation, I know many of you don't. So, I want to make it easy for you.

It all started in 2011, when I was lucky enough to have a 6 week family holiday in Europe. Although I booked airfares through a travel agent, they did not offer what I considered to be suitable accommodation.

So, I arranged it all, finding some wonderful places to stay for myself, hubby and two children, then aged 8 and 6.

On my return, I was writing reviews for a holiday review website, when my husband asked me why I was "wasting time". I told him because it might help others with their family holiday research.

His comment got me thinking - yes, this website was helpful, but it was not Australian based and it was not necessarily aimed at helping Australian families with their travel plans. And with that, Family Friendly Accommodation was born.

I created Family Friendly Accommodation to help you discover some great family holiday accommodation options for your next family holiday - including many hidden gems.

It might be a farm stay, a B&B, a privately-owned holiday rental or a hotel that offers large rooms and extra beds.
