Property description

If you're after a Mornington Peninsula holiday that provides clean and comfortable accommodation, will welcome your four-legged friend and does not break the bank, you've found the right place.

Truemans Cottages is a collection of 3 established cottages close to the bay beach between Rosebud and Rye.

Owned and operated by a mum, Michelle knows how important it is to make everyone feel at home on a family holiday and can offer advice on all the great family friendly activities in the local area.

The beach-based properties are TeaTree Cottage, Palm Cove and Moonah Cottage. All are three-bedroom, sleep 6 and are located close to each other, making them a perfect choice for those holidaying with extended family (up to 18 people).

The cottages feature two Queen bedrooms (main with ensuite) and a twin single room. The main bathrooms have a separate bath, making them a great choice for those with younger children who still have bathtime. Moonah Cottage has a spa bath.

All three properties have kitchen-dining areas with the necessities needed to enable easy self-catering, including dishwashers. All have separate laundries.

Each property is fully fenced and has its own lovely outdoor bbq and eating area, perfect for those warm evenings when you can relax outside and watch the children, and maybe even your dog, run around the backyard.

Yes, pets are welcome at Truemans Cottages for an extra fee per stay of $25.

For comfort all-year-around, all cottages have cosy lounge-rooms featuring gas log-fires and air-conditioning and have Foxtel and WIFI access is also available (fee applies).

For the kids, Moonah Cottage and Palm Cove have their own sandpit and games room with table tennis. There are also two playgrounds with climbing frames and basketball rings and football fields within a short walking distance of all properties.

Other family friendly features and creature comforts include the supply of linen and towels, books, magazines, board games and DVDs. For outside, there are buckets and spades and even beach towels. And port-a-cots and highchairs are available at no extra cost.

Stop press: Truemans Cottages has added another cottage to its group - Kingston Farm Cottage at Boneo, about 7km from Rosebud. The cottage can sleep up to 5, with two bedrooms and a share bathroom. Bright open plan living, with lovely countryside views. Sorry, no pets allowed. But there is access to a solar heated swimming pool.

Family Friendly Accommodation likes: True family friendly holiday homes - bring your dog and stay for a very reasonable price in an area that can be quite expensive.

We just returned after spending a weekend and the accommodation was excellent.

Very clean, modern and comfortable. Beautifully decorated with great extras like foxtel, gas fireplace, spa bath and table tennis.

Cot (complete with linen) and high chair was supplied. We really enjoyed spending time here!
